Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald meets Ryan Tubridy in the studio to discuss the party’s poll performance, what a united Ireland could look like and her reaction to Shane Ross’ biography of her.

Ireland women’s football manager Vera Pauw (below) talks to Ryan about life since the Girls in Green qualified for the World Cup and how she feels about 2023.

Singer and Eurovision star Brooke Scullion, former GAA player Paul Brogan, TV presenter and influencer Suzanne Jackson, and drag artist and activist Panti Bliss (aka Rory O’Neill) will be speaking to Ryan about it Dancing with the stars.

British comedian Lenny Henry will chat with Kate Bush about singing, writing a children’s novel and autobiography, and his Irish accent Lord of the Rings precursor The Rings of Power.

One from last week show toys Superstars Saoibh Lonergan join Ryan on the couch to catch up after a hectic week and tell viewers all about it.

Andrea Corr will also sing live in the studio It’s starting to look a lot like Christmaswhile Col Patterson makes his late-late debut Bedford Falls.

Strictly Come Dancing: Musicals Special, 8pm, BBC One

The show – hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman (below) – has a rare second appearance this week as the quarter-finals are brought forward a day thanks to World Cup coverage.

This musical-themed edition opens with a dance extravaganza performed by the professional dancers alongside West End legends Marisha Wallace, Ivano Turco and Trevor Dion Nicholas.

Fleur, Hamza, Helen, Kym, Molly and Will then enter the ballroom with routines inspired by the world of musical theater.

Everyone is looking to secure their spot in next week’s semi-finals, so expect stunning performances and a stellar night of dancing.

The Graham Norton Show, 11.15pm, BBC One

This week Graham is there slow horses star Kristin Scott Thomas while star trek Legend George Takei (below) talks about the West End Musical The Allegiance of George Takeibased on his childhood experience of Japanese-American internment in World War II.

Today’s coverage begins at 2:30pm CET ahead of Ghana versus Uruguay (kick-off 3:00pm CET).

Tony O’Donoghue (below) presents all the action from the Group H game at Al-Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah. The group’s other match, between South Korea and Portugal, can be seen on RTÉ News Channel and RTÉ Player.

Portugal leads the group with six points, three ahead of Ghana. Both South Korea and Uruguay are in one point.

Then at 6.30pm, Clare MacNamara will be joined by Richie Sadlier and Shay Given to present coverage of the Group G game between Cameroon and Brazil (kick-off 7pm).

Serbia vs Switzerland, the group’s other match, can be seen on RTÉ News Channel and RTÉ Player.

Brazil leads the group with six points, three ahead of Switzerland. Both Cameroon and Serbia are on one point.

Today’s highlights are at 11:15 p.m.
