FORMER Spice Girl Mel C has kept it modest by bypassing celebrity hookup sites like Raya and signing up to regular dating app Hinge.
She announced she now has a profile on it after her seven-year relationship with music producer Joe Marshall ended in August.
But she’s not very lucky.
Mel said, “What’s the deal with Hinge?
“I’m single and looking around a bit, it’s a skinny pick.
“There seems to be a lot of hot girls out there, but all hot guys are gay.”
Speaking on the Not My Bagg podcast, Mel also admitted she’s not particularly impressed that her bandmate Victoria Beckham’s husband, David, has signed a seven-figure deal to headline a new campaign for the World Cup in Qatar.
Mel, who won the Honorary Gay Gong at the Attitude Awards last week, admitted his move didn’t suit her because it’s illegal to be gay there.
She said of Qatar’s hostess: “I’m an ally of the LGBTQ+ community so I would feel very uncomfortable showing support for it.
“I understand that people want to talk about the fact that sport can change culture, but when it’s about so much money it’s difficult.”
“It’s difficult. David is a friend and everyone has to make their own decisions.”
NICKI SHOWS HER CRABS
THEY say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery — but not according to Nicki Minaj.
Wearing this fur coat and tiger print dress and boots for Interview magazine, the Starships singer sharpened her claws about new artists not finding their own style and ripping off established stars.
Speaking to the magazine, she told Jada Pinkett Smith: “What I’m seeing now is that so many new artists are trying to become the person they’ve looked up to rather than give us a new flavor and it pisses me off to death .
“I know I’ve been able to see so much talent in some of the new artists, but they lose me when I see the person they are trying to be or sound like more than I see who they are.
“So if I hear too much from this artist who already has hits, I’ll play that artist when I’m done listening to your song or watching your performance.
“I won’t go and examine you closely because you just reminded me so much of the other person.”
CHRISTMAS: PALS KEEP ME STRAIGHT
NOEL GALLAGHER is fortunate not to have lost his way during his time with Oasis.
It’s been years of heavy drinking and drug use, but the High Flying Birds rocker said he’s always surrounded by friends who keep him from going too far.
Noel said: “Fame can hit people really hard. I always use the story of Amy Winehouse, a pretty girl from North London.
“All of a sudden she’s doing this album, she’s going to be a world superstar, fame hits her like a truck and she didn’t make it.
“Unfortunately, she didn’t have people around her. I’ve been surrounded by the same people who take care of me for 30 years.
“I don’t have a temporary organization that just has a bunch of different people every six months.
“With Amy, Pete Doherty and people like that, nobody’s going to tell you what to do when you’ve got money, when you’re a grown man and you’re successful.”
He added on the Pub Talk podcast: “My relapse has always been my work.
“I took the party side and the drugs and all of that as a bonus.
“I was caught by nothing but a laugh.”
ZOE HAS A GO ON TAYLOR EP
ZOE KRAVITZ co-wrote two songs on Taylor Swift’s latest album, Midnights.
The record, which is out tomorrow, is Taylor’s first collection of new songs since 2020’s Evermore, and fans may be surprised to hear of Zoe’s involvement.
It has been revealed that she helped write the songs Karma and Lavender Haze, while Taylor’s longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff helped out on 11 of the 13 tracks.
But on one song, Vigilante S**t, Taylor is the only credited writer.
BTS JIN PLAYTIME IS OFFICIAL
BTS band member Jin confirmed my story from yesterday that he has teamed up with Coldplay’s Chris Martin for a solo single.
He announced that his song The Astronaut was co-produced and co-written with Coldplay, Norwegian DJ Kygo and super producer Max Martin.
The song, which is due out October 28, features everyone from Coldplay, and Chris’ teenage son Moses even sings backing vocals.
MOVIE SENT ON THE CLOWN
WHO can blame Eddie Redmayne for having a huge grin on his face when he has the glamorous Jessica Chastain next to him at the New York premiere of their film.
Jessica, looking fabulous in a white mini dress, stars with Eddie in the dark film The Good Nurse.
The flick is about a nurse who has been linked to a string of hospital deaths, so it’s no wonder Eddie wanted to loosen up after filming.
He filmed the project last year before appearing as an emcee in Cabaret in the West End – and says he had to find his funny side beforehand.
Eddie explained, “I dragged myself off to clown school in Paris,” adding that he wanted to “go to rehearsals and be ready to make a fool of myself.”
