The public voted Sunday night for the former British Health Secretary, 44, to take part in his sixth consecutive challenge since joining Virign Media’s reality show last week.

During Monday night’s episode, viewers saw Hancock take part in Deserted Down Under, which saw the West Suffolk MP lie on his back in an underground pit as he attempted to unlock the precious stars located in “hell holes” on both sides of him were .

Hancock battled through the challenge where he had 11 minutes to unlock 11 stars while confronting spiders and roaches as well as his greatest fear, snakes.

At one point, Hancock told the show’s hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, “I’m just trying to talk about them (the snakes) like they’re perfectly normal.”

Hancock later got a fright and exclaimed, “Something’s going on in my leg. It’s in my pants.”

It comes after he faced his fear of snakes in his previous trial, House of Horrors, where a snake tried to hit him at eye level.

About four minutes into Deserted Down Under, Hancock said, “I can’t do this.”

The politician got frustrated with himself at certain points in the challenge, and eventually the lights went out and he had to complete the challenge in the dark.

At the end of the process, it was confirmed that Hancock had won seven stars out of a possible 11.

Reflecting on the experience and being close to snakes during the challenge, Hancock said, “I just managed to stay really calm. I had to be gentle with them, but they were fine.”

Adding: “My biggest fear [was snakes]. I kind of feel like I was confronted with it. I conquered a fear.”

Hancock seemed disappointed in himself, commenting on the number of stars he was able to secure: “It’s not 11, is it? Good for dinner, didn’t beat it out of the park.”

Elsewhere on Monday night’s show, Mike Tindall amused his housemates with a story about a humorous interaction with his mother-in-law Anne, Princess Royal.

Speaking to fellow contestant Seann Walsh, the 44-year-old former England rugby player and husband of Zara Tindall, he said: “I love a suit. My problem with suits is that I overdo dancing at weddings…I tear up a lot of suits, pants and stuff.”

To which comedian Walsh replied, “Of course you do.”

Tindall continued: “The old bitch drop gets me every time. I went to a wedding, ripped a suit, they said, ‘Oh my god, what are you gonna do?’

“I said, ‘Don’t worry, I have a backup.’ They said, ‘Who’s bringing a spare suit?’ Someone who rips a lot of pants brings a spare suit.”

He added: “Zara had about a 30th birthday, it was a 70’s disco theme, I was dancing on the dance floor, I was wearing bell bottoms, full outfit but it was quite tight, nothing fit – the bum and the legs a rugby player – So I danced with my mother-in-law and did a slut drop in front of my mother-in-law.”

In the Bush Telegraph, an amused Walsh said: “The Mike bitch fell in front of Princess Anne and that’s not the end of the story.”

Tindall continued, “Tore my pants right in front of her. It was like the boxers I was wearing at the time said, ‘Chew my nuts’.”

Walsh and Babatunde Aleshe laughed at Tindall’s revelation and applauded him for the hilarious story.

Finally, Tindall said, “When I turned around, she’s gone, ‘I’d rather not.’ I’m gone, ‘I’m going’ and I’m gone.”

Walsh continued in the Bush Telegraph: “What a legend. Absolute legend. I would like to go to a party with Mike.”

I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! continues at 9pm on Virgin Media.
