On flights, passengers endure a lot, from people putting their bare feet on the armrest to others stepping into the seat in front of them — but perhaps this woman’s experience tops it all.
Angelina Nicolle, a nutrition coach from the US, has told the story of the moment a man sitting next to her on the plane ripped open the full sick bag and his vomit “spouted” all over her.
Angelina was traveling from Bangkok to London when the horror unfolded. In a now-viral TikTok, she explained that she sat in an aisle seat, the man in the middle seat, and his girlfriend in the window seat.

“Everything went well, the plane was just starting to take off, everyone buckled up, you mind your own business and read a book,” Angelina said.
[But] As the plane takes off, you notice the man pulls out his paper bag and throws up inside.
“And as gross as it is, you don’t want to embarrass him. I guess that happens – he throws up in the dog sack and not on you.”
said Angelina a few seconds later – he threw up again in the sick bag.
“You look straight ahead and pretend it’s not happening two inches from you.
“He throws up again and the girlfriend finally leans in and pats you on the shoulder and says, ‘Hey, can we have your paper doggie bag? We need another one.’
“I start frantically searching my seat, like, ‘Yes, of course,’ and I can’t find one. I freak out because the neighbor throws me up again, it goes on.
“Finally, this girl from the hallway across from me realizes what’s happening and quickly hands me her doggy bag.”
Angelina then turned to hand the man the sick bag, realizing that his bag was filled to the brim with vomit and could explode at any moment.
“If he throws up again, he’ll literally spill, and at that point I’m holding the paper bag so they can put the other paper bag in that paper bag, because the bottom of the paper bag is so full of puke that it’s starting to break.”
Angelina and the man’s friend then held the ends of the paper bag so the man could put the other bag inside.
But then Angelina’s nightmare became all too real.
“The bottom of the bag, filled to the brim with his vomit, breaks open,” she said. “And his vomit is gushing out of the floor onto his lap and unfortunately onto me and all my stuff under the seat.”
Since the plane was still taking off, nobody could get out of their seats, so Angelina had to sit in the man’s vomit for the next 10 minutes.
“So you have to sit there with someone else’s vomit for the next 10 minutes.”
“Has this ever happened to you?” she asked her 61,500 followers with a grin on her face.
Angelina’s clip has since gone viral, garnering 1.3 million views and thousands of comments.
TikTok users were stunned by her story, describing it as the “most traumatic experience” that could happen on a flight.
“Not even the Air Marshal could stop me. My emetophobia [fear of vomiting] never could,” one person wrote.
“I would have gotten up as soon as he started. I couldn’t have sat there,” said another, while a third added, “No. I would have been faking so they could call a medical emergency.”
One woman said she “gagged” when Angelina said the words “filled to the brim.”
“I thought about how warm it would be. My eyes are watering – help, help,” she said.
Meanwhile, a flight attendant said that in “emergency situations” like this, it’s okay to hit the call button multiple times.
“If you ring your call lamp two or three times, we’ll know something’s going on. You can’t get up, but we can and can make things clean up,” added another flight attendant.
