Last Sunday, Jonah Hill’s younger sister, Beanie, announced that she was leaving the Broadway show on July 31st.
“When the production decided to take the show in a different direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to step down sooner than expected,” Feldstein wrote.
Dream Role: “Playing Fanny Brice on Broadway has been a lifelong dream of mine,” she said in a recent post
However, a Gawker article claimed that the Booksmart actress was kicked out after a string of bad reviews.
Rumors then circulated that Beanie caught producers off guard when she told fans she was leaving earlier than planned.
Speaking to People, a joint statement from a rep for Feldstein and the Funny Girl producer said, “The producers of Funny Girl were not caught off guard by Beanie’s social post.
“The producers have decided to take the show in a different direction and end Beanie’s contract on September 25th, 6 months earlier than expected. A month after that decision, Beanie decided it would be best for her to leave on July 31st. The producers were aware of their decision and supported it.”

She was carrying a designer black leather crossbody bag and open toe flat sandals.

It was rumored that Michele was originally in the running for the role, having performed many of the show’s songs during her stint on the series Glee from 2009 to 2015.
Funny Girl opened on Broadway on April 24 and is currently running indefinitely.
