Sunday night is in sight which means it’s time for another cross-continental acca which will hopefully help us get through the weekend in style. In this edition, our action comes from North and South America, especially from the USA and Brazil.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

It’s a hearty mix of one of football’s greatest nations against another that’s slowly gaining ground. Anyway, there’s going to be some decent stuff to watch, so let’s see if we can double that with some profit value on Sunday night.

We start in the MLS with Atlanta United against Orlando City. The home side sit 10th in the Eastern Conference after 19 games, five spots behind their visitors, who have six points more and one game in play.

This is difficult to decide as both sides have decent home and away records. However, they are both in pretty poor form, with three wins in their last 10 combined games. I think backing goals is the way to go since Austin’s games are seen by a lot.

In their last five games, they have scored over 2.5 goals 100% of the time, and going back further, 11 of their last 12 have clicked, with both teams scoring in 10 of those. Orlando is a lot more reluctant with overs landing in two of the last five, but we’ll back Atlanta to play the game on home soil and for them Both teams score one goal and more than 2.5 goals to land again.

In our first game of the Brazilian Serie A, the in-form Fluminense travels to Sao Paulo. The hosts are 7th on Sunday night, two places and four points below their guests.

Fluminense will be looking for their 5th La Liga win while Sao Paulo look to get back on form. They have won just two of their last 10 games, lost two and drawn six.

Sao Paulo’s recent tally reads like binary code, while Flu’s form is largely built on excellent defence. They’ve only conceded one goal in their last five games, so I think they’ll have enough to keep a clean sheet on their way to victory. Fluminense wins is the choice and could be absolutely valuable here.

Later in Serie A, Botafogo welcome Atletico Mineiro in 10th place, who sit behind Estádio Nilton Santos in 4th place. Mineiro are rock solid and you have to go back nine games to find their last loss in competition and that was away at the aforementioned Fluminense.

Botafogo is boom or bust and they have lost or won every one of their last nine, but unfortunately this run only includes three wins for them. However, they’ve all played in their last five games, so they could move up.

Botafogo’s home form is abysmal and they have taken just seven points ahead of their own fans in seven games this season. Most of Atletico’s best form has come at home, but they’ve scored more points away than their opponents at home, so let’s finish with that Atlético Mineiro win.

TV: Sky Sports Football

We’re going to wrap up with a game on TV and that’s the Big Apple derby between the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC and on paper this is an absolute thigh brace. These two are 3rd and 2nd in the Eastern Conference and only two points separate them.

Not only local boasts are on offer, as the top of the league is tantalizingly close at hand for both as well. NYC has lost just one of their last 14 games, while the Red Bulls have won three of their last five, drawn one and lost the other.

I said this should be a good game, but a quick look at their recent past encounters throws a little water on it. three of the last five ended 1-0 with a 1-1 draw and the breakaway, a 5-2 win for NYC, completed the set.

NYC has conceded and conceded plenty of goals while the Red Bulls like to keep it a lot tighter. We will side with them to prevail and continue their recent form against each other Under 2.5 goals.
