She said: “I’m a bit of both, I like manners and I like all that old school stuff. But we like to go out a lot.

“I’m one to take her to the park with the dog and I’m doing my best to be the best I can.”

When asked how Frank is as a dad, Christine added, “Oh he’s the biggest softie ever. The second they want something, it’s like “Daddy!”

Speaking about how the NHS has helped her throughout her life, Christine said: “I’m very blessed to live 30 seconds walk from Chelsea Westminster, which turned out to be two little babies who had different parts has proven incredibly handy pieces, as we’ve all done over the last few years.

“I mean we can’t praise it enough and I think sadly we don’t hear enough individual stories from people who work day in and day out to improve all of our lives and hopefully tonight does a little bit of that.”

“Just a little spotlight on the good that is still in this world. We’re hearing so much bad stuff right now. It’s so nice to actually be partying like the good people and that’s what we’re here for.”

The TV star retired from full-time work to focus on raising her young family, but while she was “blessed” with her children, she said two is quite enough given her age.

‘I’m too old. I think if I were younger I would have thought about it, but I feel very blessed with these two – and I’m done!’

She said she “rarely” finds time for herself, and said she’s in bed an hour after putting her kids to sleep.

Christine added that she was “blessed” to have had her children later in life, having “done everything I wanted to do” in her 20s and 30s, but she has the odd feeling that now she’s “busier than she is ever” is!
