those years island of love has seen his first couple from the group of finalists end their relationship after Gemma Owen and Luca Bish confirmed last week they had ended their romance.
Fellow islander Davide Sanclimenti believes “it’s for the best”, suggesting he’s still close to the couple and that their happiness is key.
Gemma and Luca announced their split on November 16, with Gemma writing a statement on her Instagram Stories to break the news: “It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what’s best for both of us right now.”

Luca later shared a post of his own, sharing his sadness but also spreading a positive note, writing, “We’ve been on such a journey together and made some amazing memories that I will cherish.”
Speaking of SubwayDavide said he wasn’t surprised by the split but echoed the couple’s feelings: “Actually, I wasn’t very surprised. If they think that’s right for them, then it’s for the best.”
Davide also revealed that he had spoken to Luca after the breakup and while he was “a bit dejected” at first, he seemed “happy” again after a revived chat with his pal.

The reality star also shared some words of wisdom, stressing that “they had an amazing experience and they need to remember that experience.”
Davide and girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu won the last series of island of love and the couple filmed a show together – Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecoming – in which they visit their home countries, Italy and Turkey.
