Soap insiders recently revealed that a story involving the couple will be among those set to appear in this year’s Christmas episodes, and it all starts with Todd innocently helping a drunk and vulnerable Laurence into a cab after he died split from Sean Tully.

Discussing Tyrone’s decision to get on one knee before the couple’s big Christmas story, Alan said it “took a long time”.
“Tyrone has proposed to Fiz before, but I think everything they’ve been through over the past few years has only cemented what Tyrone wants in his life; he wants Fiz as his wife and he wants that family life,” he explained.
“Tyrone thought he could find his happiness somewhere else but he couldn’t because that happiness is with Fiz and now he doesn’t want to hang around, he’s like, ‘Let’s put a ring on it and let’s go!'”
